I’m Dr. Nancy Verdonck, ophthalmologist in Brussels.

I started my Medical School in Namur at the Facultés Universitaires Notre Dame de la Paix and continued in Leuven at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL).

I was taught Ophthalmology at the University Hospitals in Leuven and got a surgical training in Torquay Torbay Hospital UK.

I have been working as a general Ophthalmologist since 2004 with special interest in cataract surgery and medical retina.

My goal is to treat you with the latest techniques, matching your expectations with what’s best for your eyes.

I am Dr Heidi Dullaert

I studied Medicine and specialised in Ophthalmology at the university of Leuven (KUL Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) and in the UK (Sidcup).

I developed a special interest in Glaucoma, Neuro-Ophthalmology and Pediatric Ophthalmology.

My years of experience and continuous training, allow me to give you the best care.

General Eye Exam

Prescription of glasses-eye fundus-ocular tension-visual field-biometry-OCTscan-YAGlaser

Glaucoma

Eye disease caused by high eye pressure. The altered visual field is not noticed by the patient initially.
Screening is therefore necessary starting at the age of 40.

Cataract Surgery

Cataract is an opacification of the intra ocular lens. Symptoms are visual haze and glare. The operation consists in replacing the lens by a implant (monofocal/multifocal/toric). It takes 15min. under topical anesthesia.

Intravitreal Injections

Is needed in wetAMD, retinal vein occlusion, diabetic macular edema,.. It takes a few seconds under topical anesthesia.

Paediatric ophthalmology

Glasses, lazy eye, squint

Age related macular degeneration

Disease of the macula more and more encountered in the Western world. There are 2 forms: dry and humid. Diagnosis is made by fluo-angiography and OCT. Screening is advised starting at the age of 50.

Neuro ophthalmology

Double vision, CVA, optic neuritis, headache
